While pursuing a degree in photography, my interest in ceramics grew after taking a wheel throwing class as an elective. The tactile nature of the medium and being able to manipulate and alter forms with my hands is what really made me want to continue pursuing ceramics. Process oriented mediums compliment the way I enjoy making my art from the functional to non-functional works. I knew early on in my days as an undergrad that I would like to teach others. I enjoy sharing knowledge and watching others manifest their artistic ideas into real life. I successfully completed my BFA in Ceramics and Photography, Art History minor, in 2010.

In 2013, I began instructing an adult beginner wheel throwing class at the Indianapolis Art Center. After some time, I began to notice that not only were the students benefitting from my teaching but I was also gaining skills by instructing them. While I enjoyed working at IAC, I needed a change of scenery. Currently, I am living in New Ashford, Massachusetts with hopes of furthering my artistic practice and home studio.
